Geographic Information System (GIS) / Mapping

Geofirma employs in-house experts in the use of Geographic Information Systems, GIS, and we frequently use these computer systems to map, model, query, and analyze large quantities of geospatial data pertaining to our day-to-day projects.  Geofirma typically creates GIS maps and geodatabases using both pre-existing information from others as well as newly acquired data collected during projects.  Integral to proper GIS data management is a robust metadata system to record origins of data and any alterations or improvements made in an effort to provide a transparent tracability of data quality.  Geofirma has developed and implemented extensive GIS systems and metadata deliverables for several applications, including:Source Water Protection

  • Remote Predictive Mapping (RPM)
  • Asset Management
  • Radioactive Waste Management
  • Development Applications
