Fionnbharr Hembruff first joined Geofirma in 2021 in support of deep bedrock borehole drilling and testing for the Nuclear Waste Management Organization. During this time, he worked closely with other Geofirma team members on detailed rock core photography and sampling, along with support in drill pad construction, monitoring well development and groundwater sampling. Since then, he has worked primarily as Site Environmental Safety Officer on contaminated brownfield construction sites. His experience includes tracking the removal of contaminated soil and bedrock, collection and treatment of coal tar impacted groundwater, as well as air quality monitoring for worker safety during intrusive excavation activities. Fionn also has experience in coordinating drill site setup and demobilization, drill monitoring and hydraulic testing.
